Designed with the intermediate and budget-concious rider in mind, the Lux brings high-end performance and durability without breaking the bank. Compared to a full-suspension mountain bike, a classic hardtail is still better suited to several situations. For rides on smoother trails, school campuses, and neighborhood bike paths, a full-suspension bike is can be an energy-eater. Combining the perfect blend of hardtail performance with rugged utility, the Lux is a value oriented build ready for any new rider or trail enthusiast. The durable alloy crankset (22/32/42t) is a good match for the Shimano TX50 front derailleur, the Shimano Altus 7spd rear derailleur and Shimano HG20 7spd Cassette (12-28t). This combo provides more than enough gearing options to get you where you want to go. Diamondbacks signature alloy stem and riser bar are Devine women's-specific width and low rise to create a comfortable riding position for the female rider. A DB Lazer Micro Adjust 30.9mm post and Devine Edition MTB saddle ensure that you can pedal all day long. The 2013 Lux is black and comes in four sizes to suit your needs: XS (13"), S (15"), M (17"), L (19"). I found the instructions to be frustrating as they're written for multiple models and neither well illustrated nor well written. The bike, however is marvelous. Sturdy, good looking, fast, quiet, light, strong. I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present and we took them out on the trail last weekend. The bike handled roots, pocks, murk, sand, grass, dirt all well. Great bike. She loves it!

I bought this bike mostly to use on paths with a bike trailer, carrying my 2 kids. It is really easy to attach the bike trailer to this bike. The bike also performs well off road. I've only done very basic off road trails.I was worried about putting it together, but my husband was able to set it up without any problem. It was very easy to assemble it. I love how the bike looks too. The seat is a little uncomfortable on the first couple of rides, but I've gotten used to it now. Overall it is a great bike for a beginner mountain biker or for riding around town. It seems durable and good quality. I recommend it.
