The Schwinn GTX 2 Dual Sport bicycle is the perfect bike for the bike path or just going out for a good workout. Equipped with a Schwinn aluminum dual sport frame and Schwinn suspension fork for a comfortable & smooth ride, Shimano 21 speed rear derailleur with trigger shifters for quick gear shifting. The high profile alloy wheels with quick release front wheel are lightweigth and strong. The saddle comes with a quick release for easy height adjustments. Linear pull brakes for sure stopping power.

This bike is merely a re painted reincarnation (prior one was blue and white) of the one I bought earlier. The bike is pretty and the price is irresistible for the features it offers. Unfortunately the build is pathetic. The defect lies is in the poorly designed front derailleur which no matter what keeps brushing up against the chain. The guard on the crankset forces the derailleur to be positioned at a weird angle; that combined with an abnormally narrow derailleur cage results in the scraping of the chain. I wrote to Schwinn about the problem, I don't know if they did anything about it. But unless you can get confirmation that the problems have been fixed I would steer clear. Needless to say I returned mine.

This will be the second time I return this bike. The first time the break came broken! so I returned it.. Second time it came fine but after I put it together and went out for a ride I could not help to notice that the chain rubs at almost every single gear combination that there is to this bike... This bike looks fantastic but it is poorly designed to the point that the chain will rub the derailleur at almost every gear combination... I contacted customer service but I have not received a call or an email from someone to address the issue, I am returning it AGAIN...DO NOT BUY!!!
