5Decent bike for the money - after numerous adjustments
By Reviewer
First I wanted to stress that I have not bought the bike on Amazon but on ebay clearance special (they had only one bike) and the cost was $270 shipped. As such, my comments only apply in the respect to price paid. For what they normally sell for, $400+, I would be looking for quality used bike with much better components. The fact is though that you really need to have around $600 in your packet to hope for a good quality bike with 105 or ultegra components on ebay.... Here is goes then:I ordered it in 56cm size.Assembly:- Assembly is not the easiest to do although not a problem for mechanically inclined.- Care must be taken to route the cables properly and install brake caliper right. Clipping of brake line and putting crimp on cap is needed.- Decide how high you want the steering wheel be by installing stem in either sloping up or down position (it is flippable).- Decide if you need all three spacers under the stem. Not installing all (this will require you to saw some stem off after punching in anchor deeper into stem) will save some weight. The good:- It is a nice bike. When I told my co-workers with $2000 bikes how much I paid for this, they just stood quiet for a moment and said "niiiiiice". Of course these are the people who go to their LBS with a flat tire so anything will impress them.- Brakes work pretty well. No problem locking rear wheel out of the chute, front I need to get used to since it is my weak hand... MTB brakes are easier to use after all.- Carbon fork really takes edge out of rough surfaces. I was shocked how well this bike rides with 120psi in 23mm tires over rough patches. My mountain bike with any reasonable amount of air (60psi+) in tires was rougher than this and that's with front shock absorber.- Bike is super tight once you adjust and tighten things up. Don't trust factory workers on this account, personally attend every bolt in this bike before leaving for first trip. The bad:- Specs say 54 teeth in large crank chainring, mine came with 52. I was really hoping for 54 due to 12 tooth being the smallest ring in the back and running out of gearing on declines. I will probably move my 11T ring from MTB to replace 12T in this bike.- Pedals are heavy at 280g per piece but will get you through until you buy something lighter.- Toss the seat out the window. I don't think I ever saw more crude looking seat in my life with a softness of piece of wood along with it. But it is relatively light.- Wheels will need truing. Mine were all over the place. Some spokes had almost zero tension... once rectified the wheels are actually pretty nice. They look nice and have "half aero" look to them. Rim tape is fairly good, it is made of hard transparent plastic to prevent the tube from inflating and popping into spoke nipple cavity below. Spokes sit around 0.5" below the internal surface of rim. Look around the full circumference of rim since tape edges were kinked over in couple of places, non-vital but why introduce a possible point of failure.- Rear derailer hanger was bent resulting in derailed being completely off-axis in respect to chain and crank rings. This probably happened in shipping since the box had a nice hole on its side where rear derailer was sticking out of. I fixed it with a hammer. Hanger is made from really soft aluminum which makes me think that one can get one made of something harder?- Shifters are missing gear indicator in any shape or form. Besides that, they work pretty well. One should look at their cadence anyway instead of honing to a specific gear. Large lever on either brifter to inside of bike to shift to larger cog, small lever above the large one in the same direction to drop into lower cog.- Weight. Due to a bunch of heavy components on this bike, it tipped the scales at 24lb. You can easily get to more decent weight by replacing couple of heavy items with lighter stuff. #1 would be crank, you can get used set of shimano 105 or better for $50-$60 on ebay and shave off like 2lb. Going with two cog crank wouldn't be a bad idea if you don't care for super low small cog in three ring arrangement. Adjust front derailer limiter to not drop below second cog in that instance. Seat post at 300g is heavy too. Pedals, you can get a set for cheap at 280ish grams per set or go pro clipless.- Handlebar doesn't have channels for routing of cables so they are pushing the wrap tape out and are definitely interfering when gripping the steering wheel hard on top bends.- Handlebar is of sport flavor which I don't like, not a full round drop. You either adjust the angle to comfortable position on brifters leaving drops at unusable angle or vice versa... I don't like that...but I already ordered nice carbon handlebar with ergo shape for $50 from ebay which will rectify my beef with stock handlebar.Summation:"You get what you paid for". Functional bike for commuting and recreational biking after replacing seat at the minimum. Can be upgraded to better components without big upfront expense of quality brand name bike.

5Really Nice Bike!
By Alfred F. Cain
The bike arrived within the timeframe given. The packaging was first rate, designed to protect all the components. Assembly was easy, although it would be better to include some instructions. I have put several different bikes together so everything was straightforward. If you have never seen a quick release mechanism for a front wheel or don't know how to adjust brakes or finish off cables, you are better off taking the package to the local bike shop for assembly. In my opinion, the bike is well designed and executed. The microshift gear levers work well. The brakes are good and the bike is comparatively light. The carbon fiber front fork appears sturdy. The wheels are lined with a hard plastic material meant to prevent the spokes from poking into the tube. Almost everything is adjusted via an allen head fitting. The fit and finish are excellent. After a few rides, including hills, the bike has proven itself to be an excellent performer. For an out-of-the-box road bike it would be hard to beat.

5Not bad for the price.
By David A. Baker
Decent frame and components except for the rims and brakes. I put a used wheelset on this (Mavic cosmic elite) and better more adjustable and stable brakes. Crankset is marginal but this is not something I would change on this level bike.
