More efficient than a comfort bike, more comfortable than a road bike: most people are surprised at how often they end up choosing a hybrid for a variety of rides. The Diamondback Edgewood combines the same relaxed contact point features of a comfort bike with the big smooth-rolling 700c wheels of a road bike. The heart of the bike is the DB 6061-T6 Aluminum hybrid geometry frame with formed tubes and a replaceable derailleur hanger. Coupled with a comfort suspension 63mm travel fork, the ride is nothing but smooth and efficient. A full Shimano drivetrain, shifters and linear pull brake levers round out this smooth rolling, smooth shifting machine. SSW700 Double Tunnel alloy rims offer up a durably built wheel that can go for days. A comfy cockpit provides precise steering and the DB Deluxe Hybrid saddle with double density base offers a comfy position for long rides. The 2013 Edgewood is blue and comes in four sizes: SM (15"), M (17"), LG (19"), XL (21"). From the simple to the sophisticated, you’ll find the path, neighborhood, and around town bike you’re after in the comfort geometry of the Diamondback Edgewood.

I grew up riding bikes, but had not been on one for quite some time. My fiance bought the 2012 model and loves it. I liked her bike and loved the 2013 blue model. Front suspension is great, works well. Gear shifting is excellent, however it took some adjusting to get the pedal gear to properly shift into and out of 2nd gear.Positives:-Seems durable and very well built-Easy to remove wheels, adjust seat and handlebars-Comfortable grips-Fast and overall comfortable ride!Negatives:-DID NOT COME WITH THE ASSEMBLY TOOLS IT LISTED! I think someone forgot to add them into the box :)However, you only need metric allen wrenches, a screwdriver and patience.-Tires slowly loose air pressure. Probably require once a week fill-ups.Overall a great bike that I would recommend to any beginner-intermediate for casual riding on or off road.

By the best pate I have ever tried...
Excellent bike. Light, confortable, and works well.The only negative side I see is that it does not have a kickstand and it has been very difficult to find the right one on line. Also, the tools are not included.

I was looking for a good quality Hybrid bicycle for my son who is 9 years old for his Christmas gift this year. I read many reviews and compared many bicycles. Decided this Diamondback Hybrid was the best choice for the price and features.First of all, the shipping time was great, only 2 days from the time I placed the order. But sadly, when the pckage arrived, the box was beat to He@& with large holes in several places on the box. I thought for sure the bicycle would be damaged..luckily, there were no problems...UPS drivers obviously take no pride in their work.I chose the "Small" 15 inch frame because the charts show this would be compatible for someone who stands up to 5 ft tall. Assemblying this bicycle was not difficult at all. It took me about 20 minutes. This bike did not come with the kick stand ( as advertised ). Ordered the "Sunlite Double Kickstand" from Amazon and this kickstand works perfect for this bike. After the assembly was complete, I could see that this "Small" 15 inch frame was anything but small and would be too large for anyone less than 5' 8 inches tall. I stood the Diamondback Hybrid beside my own Hybrid bicycle (which is sized for a average sized adult). There was no difference in the height or the frame size. The Diamondback "Small" 15 inch frame was just as large as my own adult bike which has 26 inch wheels. That being said...the sizing is a little off but the quality of this bike is first rate. I took is for a test ride and went through the gears and it performs flawlessly. I will say ... for this to be a Hybrid bike (something in between a road bike and a trail bike) the tires seem to lean more towards street travel than off road trail riding. Not much tread and deep grooves for off road travel as you might expect from a Hybrid bicycle.Overall... I am very pleased with the styling and performance and ease of assembly with this bike. Even though this bike is a little too large for my 9 year old, he can continue to ride his current bike and grow into this one eventually so I'll keep it. But the claim on the chart that this "Small" 15 inch frame size is good for someone who stands 5 ft tall is ridiculous.Good job Amazon for the price, fast shipping and good customer service !! You get 5 stars!Diamondback gets 4 stars for not including assembly tools, advertising this bike as a "Small" frame when it is not, and not pairing the correct tire for a Hybrid bicycle.
