We've listened to feedback from riders and have introduced some significant upgrades to the 2013 model. We've replaced the downtube shifters with an updated Shimano thumb shifter - this allows you to shift with your hands on the handle bars. We upgraded the brakes for more stopping power. We've added a third smaller chainring on the front for easier hill climbing, and we've significantly improved the packaging to better withstand shipping. The best part - the price is the same!

Commuter Road Bike

Got the bike today and it was easy to put together. The component parts (brakes) are cheap but I expect it to be for the price. The frame is worth the $150.00 price tag. So I'm fine with it. The wheels are good like the other post claim. It would be wise to buy better tires because I can tell that the tires are cheap and one rock will pop right through it. So invest in new tires as well ( I bought Vittoria Zaffiro 700x25c tires. Note that it doesn't come in pairs. So you gotta order two.) Just had to make minor adjustments like tighten the brakes. This bike is use as a secondary bike to lock up at the beach to go to the shops and take to play basketball. I have a cannondale R900 that is expensive and is never going to leave my sight. This is where the commuter bike comes in. So yes I'm happy with what it provides. I also put a rack on it which the screw/nut looks like it blocks the first small gear which I wont ever change to that gear anyways. So if you plan on putting a beam rack. (Keep note you might run into the same problem.)I also bought a pump and bag. All in all with the upgrades that were made to this bike. You can probably just buy a Schwinn Men's Prelude Bicycle here on amazon with free shipping for $250.00 without having to upgrade any cheap parts. That would be ideal. But I need something that will get scratch and beat up so no one wont steal at the beach. lolThere is a User pic of the bike I put up. If anyone wants to see what it looks like put together. It was taken on my phone. Sorry it wasn't that great of a picture because can barely see the beam rack on the back. There is a cargo net to carry back pack or a basketball.UPDATE: As of 8/03/2012 I now have put over 200 miles on this bike. Here is what I've notice. The seat is uncomfortable for long 40 mile rides. (Replace the saddle for a comfort long ride or buy a gel seat cover.) The brakes don't have enough stopping power. So upgrading to dual pivot brakes is a good idea. The cheapest I've seen here on amazon is $25 for front and back. Which will do the job compared to the one this bike comes with. It is important to have better brakes when riding on the road next to cars. It is important to keep yourself safe. The bike chain makes noise. While I'm at the beach people can hear me riding from behind so they walk out the way. lol Which is a good thing because don't have to let anyone know I'm on their left or have to buy a bell. I got use to it so it doesn't bother me. Just want people to know in case their expecting a quiet ride. Going uphill is a breeze. So after all the add on accessories to this bike and upgrading the parts. I'm happy with it. Great buy for under $200

I bought this bike to get into road bikes. I believe this is a great entry level bike for under $200. The matte black color is great. I don't need any stickers or loud colors. Assembly was easy, didn't even need any instructions. There were a few scratches on the paint but over all it looks great. Buy this to try out road biking or as a backup bike. It's no $1000 bike but at this price why would you even compare the two.

A little road bump..

bought the bike. assembled it. took it for a 2 mile ride on the road, went over a little rock and the tire popped open. Planning on getting kevlar tires and lights to add on to it. It did not come with a kickstand. Good price and good bike if you want to put money into it. Nice riding while it lasted haha

Great little bike!

So, I decided to buy a folding bike because I travel quite a bit (and am too young to rent a car). Many of the places I travel to are tropical in nature: places like Hawaii and Florida. For those of you who havent been to either of these places: they are warm, and many people spend most of their time outdoors.I love riding bikes, and realized on my last vacation that I could not possibly bring a bike to Hawaii easily. I began looking up portable bikes.I looked at a local bike shop, they offered one Dahon bike, for like $600. Im broke, thus I didnt want to spend that much. Also, I'm 6'2" and 180 pounds, so I needed a bike big enough to support my height (not necessarily my weight).I ended up making my decision on a number of factors: price, size, weight.Size really does matter! I wanted a bike that would fit into a suitcase so I could pack it for my trips. You'll notice that the Stow-A-Way bikes are too massive to be packed. Also, many of the bikes are way too heavy to be packed for a trip (without having to pay the ridiculous airline fees associated with heavy baggage). This bike is really less than 30lb, which makes it easy to put into a case that is still under the 50lb weight limit for most airlines.The 6 speeds are a quick-shifter design by Shimano, after a few test runs, it has been completely smooth. I am truly impressed with the fact that this small, lightweight bike has 6 speeds (since comparable Dahon bikes only have a single speed).The rear break is very strong, which makes me feel safe. The front brake made a terrible squeaking sound whenever I used it, so I may replace the pads. Honestly, if that is the only issue I have, then there is no need to make this bike less than 5 stars.I'll update this later as I continue to ride it

100 Mile Review. Love bike. Not support. Watch carefully and adjust/tighten bike fittings during break in!

I've put about 100 miles on this bike and feel I can offer an decent review.First, I love the bike in as much as it's a Dahon knock off at a fraction of the price. I researched many folding bikes before deciding on this commuter style bike. I found cheaper bikes, but none that weight as little as this one does at about 23 lbs. My requirements were light and tight, as I plan on traveling with the bike by train, plane and automobile.I rode several Dahon bikes at a local shop. They are nice, they are expensive. Similar bikes were running 2 - 3 times the price of this one. My decision was based on over all VALUE. I figured if this bike was built reasonably well that I didn't need a bike that would last forever. Keep in mind that this bike for me is about convenience -- not having to rent a car, take a bus or taxi when traveling to new places. It's not a touring bike. It's a commuting bike. I've been practicing commuting on this bike and it works just fine.The tires are decent, the seat acceptable, and the build quality seems good. After I got the tires pumped up (be aware you'll need a Presta valve pump or adapter), I rode it out of the box without any adjustments. I rode this is mostly on streets, sidewalks and a little off-road trail riding just to try it out.With six gears, you're a bit limited in finding that perfect gear for some situations. However, keep in mind the price point and I think you'll be satisfied with your options for commuting. I found I could comfortably cruise at 10 mph and push it to 20 mph if I wanted to really push it.Now for the issues. The bike will loosen up a bit after riding, so be very careful to pay attention to anything that is seeming to come loose -- nuts, screws, etc. In particular, I was riding one day and the handle bars got crooked on my because the headset bolt had worked loose a bit. I needed an allen wrench to get it tight, but didn't have one with me. Needed to get a ride home where my tools are and not risk losing steering.Another problem was that the pin on the handle bar hinge, the one that allows that handlebar post to fold down, lost a screw (or maybe didn't have one in the first place). This leads to my biggest issue with the bike - support.This bike is distributed and supported by Kent Bicycles of NJ, kentbicycles.com, but made in China. When I realized the screw that holds in the handlebar post pin was missing, I tried several times to contact Kent support -- by phone and email, to get the part. I had no success getting through. I watched my bike sit for two weeks, unable to safely ride it. I finally got tired of waiting and found a screw and washer that would work to hold the pin in. It took a bit of custom work on my part to solve the problem. This is not acceptable to me. My pet peeve with any support is an email address that no one responds to. I took time to document my issue in pictures and sent several emails to Kent support and got zero response. :( I had a few other questions for Kent regarding a bit of play in the same handle bar hinge, a twisting of the handlebar post, and a possible missing tension screw in main hinge where the frame folds in two.Now I'm very handy and have the skills and tools to maintain mechanical things. But, if you're not that kind of person you may be in a lurch as to what to do. The main problem I think you may run into is that a reputable (or should I say snobby) bike shop may not even want to touch your cheap, Chinese made bike. They may even admonish and excoriate you for buying such "junk" rather than spending the money for a Quality Dahon or other expensive model. Kent bikes caters to the Walmart bike buying market more than the higher quality market, so just be aware that you're likely to have support issues. Even getting parts will be a problem based on my lack of response from Kent support.If you can deal with these potential problems, then I think you'll be satisfied with this bike as a snappy, lightweight folding commuter.

good 25lb folding bike, bad parts

Frame design and welds look strong. Steartube is 1 1/8, hinge area is large and well fitted. Looks like crank (68mm?), rear hub (probably 130mm) and handlebar are standard size and could be upgraded in the future. Uses 52t chainring for faster than other folders ride (still, not very fast due to 20" rims). It'll probably accommodate tires up to 2" wide. Equipped with easy 6 speed shimano index shifter. Good fit for people up to about 33-34 inseam (~6.1' tall?).The bad:paint job is unfinished around hinge bolt, only visible if you pay attention and I'm not too worried since it's aluminumrear wheel seems slightly untrue and causes brake to squeak25lb weight does not include fenders (which are not included)although bike comes assembled it requires bolt tightening here and therehinge adjustment bolt was loose and needed thread locking compoundUpdate: Bike served me well until handlepost insert snapped. So far I'm unsuccessful getting any useful response from Kent customer service (they asked a bunch of questions about the issue than stopped replying - I guess they don't have a solution). Once I hear from them I might increase the rating. Right now I'm pretty disappointed.

Love this bike...

We got two of these bikes for our Florida home and we absolutely love them. It's great to see a USA product that is fantastic quality and beats everyone else on quality vs. cost. We road 11 miles the second time out with sometimes pedaling and sometimes pure electric. After a pleasant smooth and very quiet ride we returned with only have used 1/4 of the battery’s power.LOVE THESE BIKES

Much better than I was expecting

Can't say enough positive about this bike. From the great way the manufacture packs for shipment to the cool way it looks and performs. Now I truly understand why there are 125 million electric bikes in the world. Buy this bike before the rest of the world ( 7 billion people) discover them.

Prodeco Stride Electric Bike

Great bike! Took about an hour to unpack and set up, and then it was ready to go. It's a bit heavy compared to my other bike, but it has plenty of power! I use it to buzz around town and it's just what I wanted. So far (I've had it about a month) no problems. I would definitely recommend this bike.

Product Description

The Brick n' Blue 3-speed has seamlessly and beautifully rolled its way into the sixthreezero lineup of cruiser bikes. It has a color scheme not often seen, but that will probably change once a few more of these begin rolling around. This is a standard 17-inch women's cruiser frame that is painted in a smooth and earthy brick-burgundy and is complimented naturally, and somewhat patriotically, by the sky blue rims and spokes, all within the 26-inch white wall tires. It also comes with a classic brown saddle and grips, both stitched in brown, perfectly tying together the whole package. Matching front and rear fenders always add a nice touch too, not to mention protecting you from any puddles you may come across. Beyond the sweet looks of the bike, the Shimano internal 3-speed hub with Nexus shifter gives it plenty of juice too. You'll be able to cruise peacefully and easily through the city, by the beach, through your town or up and down hills with a few gear options to help you along the way. A bike that is as reliable and efficient as it is comfy and natural.

I love my bike

I absolutely love my bike. It is a pretty cinnamon color which I like because it is not overly girly but still feminine. The bike is timeless so you will love the look for a longtime. It is also very comfortable to ride. It is also really sturdy. Well worth the money.

Bought to increase fitness

I received the bike in good condition even though the box was slightly damaged it was well padded and easy to assemble, the only issue is adjusting the gear shiftsWhich took a while, and I am still unsure that it changes to all the 21 gears you really only need maybe 5.I am waiting for the wifes to arrive, I took it for a test run this morning and apart from a front brake adjustment and fine tuning the seat and handle bars I am very happy.PS I never thought we would be getting a new bike at 68 but its more cardiovascular than walking.

when it came in the mail the box was all torn up and the rim was bent which i was not too happy about. not buying a bike off the internet again for sure

looks good but...

I assumed buying a bike on Amazon, it would come in a box and I would have to assemble. No where does it say that it does not come with instructions and it needs to be put together by a professional. I even searched the web and there are no assembly instructions anywhere. If you go on the manufacturers web sight it states all warranty will be voided if not put together by a professional. I am still waiting for a "bike professional" to put it together. I really wish I had just gone to my local bike shop. So much for DIY
