Excellent
By Aaron
It would be a shame if anyone didn't buy this because of the lack of reviews which almost swayed me away from it. This bike is very solid, its light and sturdy, it comes almost completely assembled, the only things for you to do is put the head set together, the front wheel, the pedals and then set up your front brake and tune. Every bolt came pre greased so assembly was a breeze. I am roughly 5' 8'' and I purchased the 51cm frame, it is an amazing fit, and leave me with enough post room to attach the saddle bag and tail light I bought. The only thing that I haven't enjoyed about this bike so far is that when I went to air the tire the tube had a small hole in it, an easy patch and what I think to be a manufacturing issue from the tube company.I would recommend this to my friends, it is a very very sharp bike, its a great price, easy to assemble and a beautiful and comfortable ride.

Best Value For Your Money!
By Electronic Reviews
To begin with, this is a 14 Speed bike. The picture shown by Amazon is not really how the bike looks like. Here is exactly how the bike will look like once you receive it: [...]It comes with:-The bike, 85% assembled and pretty easy to assemble, but if you want the most out of the bike, GET IT TUNED from a professional.-Tools to assemble the bike.-Very well detailed manual.-And finally, it comes with TWO bottles cages ($30 value), which I think is a pretty cool thing to include.I bought the 51CM and it is perfect for someone who is between 5'7" - 5'10" and I would not recommend anyone taller than that. This bike is very well built and it has the best components in its price range. I compared this to a Schwinn road bike, which was a little more expensive than this bike and the derailleurs on the Schwinn were complete garbage. This bike rides very harsh and it turns very sharp. So, if you are looking for something super comfortable, this is not the bike for you. This harsh ride is due to its 700c 23 size tires. So in conclusion, if you are looking to try out the sport and are not willing to drop [...] bucks on a decent road bike, this is a really good road bike for the money.PRO's:-Beautiful looking(head turner)-Sturdy build-Good quality Shimano components-Very sharp and fast-Comes w/ two bottle cages-Very cheap for such a decent bikeCON's:-Harsh ride quality, due to tire size. Easily fixable by buying size 25 tires for better comfort.-Small frame size, a 54cm frame for this bike would be really nice.-Brakes are not the best, but they still work OK.

Decent Bike, Terrible Packaging
By MochiTomi
I ordered the Stage One Pro with high expectations but sadly came out very disappointed. To be fair, the bike is good for the price, however the manufacturer needs to look into their packaging because it is terrible. When I received the bike the box was torn up pretty bad but I put my worries aside and unpacked everything. I should have realized an issue when the interior packaging was destroyed worse than the exterior. The idea behind their packaging is fairly sound; there are plastic sleeves that affix to the wheel hubs that help hold the bike in place and everything is wrapped fairly well with bubble wrap and cardboard. The problem is the sleeves are plastic, and for my bike only 1 survived (thankfully the one for the rear derailleur, or so I thought...). So I clear the bike of bubble wrap to find the front fork is chipped in about 5 different spots, some down to base layer and some down to metal, and that there are several spots on the rim where the paint is already chipping away. I didn't feel that by themselves they were too bad so I started putting it together.Assembly wasn't difficult but the instruction manual requires patience as they try to cram instructions for every bike they make into the one book. After getting everything together I start looking over the bike and I notice the rear derailleur wasn't lining up properly. I gave the derailleur hanger a quick check and it looked straight so I decided before playing with it to see how well the RD was shifting and did a quick test ride around my apartment complex. The RD wouldn't even shift to the lowest 2 gears and what shifting it did make was rough. (Also as another poster mentioned the ride picks up every little bump. I think that has more to do with the fork on the bike than the tires as I use 23c's and never had that much road vibration before.) So I went back in and reset the cable to the RD and started from scratch but it still wouldn't line up properly. I checked the derailleur hanger next and it was straight. So praying it will work ok after the reset I rolled outside and took another spin. Unfortunately it still wouldn't work right. A closer inspection of the RD showed that the unit itself was bent.Again, I will say that for the price it would be a good bike, but between the damaged RD and paint chips I returned mine and purchased the next model up (Stage One Elite, which also came damaged and had to be returned). I checked around and found that a lot of people had problems with the packaging on bikes made by Cycle Force Group. I also took a look at the CFG support website and noticed they don't sell the derailleur hangers for their Tour de France bikes separately like they do for some of their other models. That could pose a very large problem down the line if no one else makes an identical hanger.
